Respite Care

Respite
Our respite care services is there if you need some assistance with care, or need to take a break from caring for your loved one. We can arrange care in the home where and when it is needed to help support you. Respite care can make a big difference to the both the person who is responsible for caring, and the care receiver too.
Brooks Care offers a respite service to all families to enable the carer to take time out
Respite care means a carer will come and look after your loved one in your own home for however long you need, to enable you to go out or to rest. This respite care could be from two hours to 24 hours daily.
Respite care can include escorting a service user to an appointment, to church or a requested outing. We already provide 24 hour care to several Service Users to enable them to continue to live in their own homes. Brooks care is able to provide a carer to stay from 22.00 hours till 7am to give care if needed or reassurance to a family these are called awake nights as the carer is awake and working. For a Service User with fewer care needs we provide sleeper nights where the carer sleeps but can be woken up to 3 times a night to give care to the Service User.
