Personal Care is delivered in a variety of ways:

• Service Users who are nursed in bed and still require all their needs met

• All service users who require assistance with bathing or showering

• Rehabilitation – to promote independence and assist them with washing and dressing

• Assisting with washing and dressing to maintain independence

 

All care is delivered with dignity, privacy and respect. Care can be delivered by a single carer or 2 carers (if required). Care is delivered within a window of time for example if you wanted a 9am call the suggested time band would be 08.30-09.30am. Personal care is normally 30-45 mins dependent upon needs which will be discussed at assessment and 15 minute calls are normally reserved for assistance with medication only.
